Every shipping method is an equation: cost versus speed versus capacity. Sea is the cheapest and slowest; air is the fastest and most expensive; road and rail sit in between and are the best choice for neighbouring markets.
On Servat Land, freight prices are quoted automatically from multiple carriers based on weight, volume, origin and destination, and you choose the cheapest option with online tracking.

How to choose your shipping method?
Four key questions that determine your decision.
01How long will the customer wait?
If the goods are perishable or urgent, choose air. If the customer is flexible, sea dramatically reduces cost.
02What is the weight and volume?
Heavy and bulky goods go by sea or rail; light and valuable goods by air. Above 2 cubic metres, sea almost always wins.
03Where is the destination?
To Turkey, Iraq and Central Asia, road is cheaper and faster. To Europe and Far East, sea or rail. To UAE and Qatar, a road-sea combination.
04What is your budget?
Simple rule: per kilogram, air costs roughly 4-6 times more than sea. If your goods are price-competitive, every 1% saved on freight means more profit.

Frequently asked questions
What do FCL and LCL mean?
FCL means renting the whole container (above 15-20 m³) and LCL means sharing it with others. LCL costs more per m³ but is better for small volumes.
What is volumetric weight?
In air freight, light bulky cargo is priced by volume. Formula: (L×W×H in cm) ÷ 6000 = volumetric kg.
Can I combine several methods?
Yes, multimodal shipping (road to port + sea + road to warehouse) is common and quoted as one trip on Servat Land.
Who pays for cargo insurance?
Depends on Incoterms: under FOB/EXW the buyer, under CIF/CIP the seller is responsible.
